Okunoshima wurde vom japanischen Milit\u00e4r seit Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts genutzt und w\u00e4hrend des 2. Weltkriegs zu einer geheimen Forschungsst\u00e4tte f\u00fcr Giftgas ausgebaut. Nach Jahrzehnten stellte man fest, dass die Karnickel sich ohne nat\u00fcrliche Feinde halt wie Karnickel vermehrt hatten und auch jede Scheu vor dem Menschen \u00fcber Generationen abgelegt hatten. Einfach die Insel kahlfressen, sonnen und warten bis dumme Touristen mit der Papiert\u00fcte Futter rascheln. Dann aber nichts wie hin und das schnellste und dreisteste Kaninchen sein.
